Venison Meatballs
Ingredients:
2 lbs. Venison burger (or substitute ground beef)
2 cups bread crumbs
1 cup chopped cheese crackers
4 eggs
3 Tablespoons garlic, chopped
3 cups flour, seasoned with salt and pepper
3 red bell peppers, cleaned and cut in 1 inch pieces
Alaskan Amber Sweet & Sour Sauce (see recipe on this website)
Instructions:
Heat oil to 375 degree in a deep fryer.Preheat oven to 350 degreesMix all ingredients except bell peppers together in a large bowl. Using hands, mix thoroughly. Form small balls and shake in bag with seasoned flour. Place in oil and fry for 3 – 5 minutes until cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.Place finished meatballs in a large roasting pan or baking dish. Top with bell peppers. Add Alaskan Amber Sweet & Sour Sauce and bake for 1 – 1 ½ hours. Serve over rice accompanied by cold glasses of Alaskan Amber.
