International Guild of Freelance Adventurers' Sausage Stew
Ingredients:
16 British style pork/wild boar sausages
2 handfuls dried prunes
1 tin chopped tomatoes
2 large onions
1 bottle stout
2 handfuls chopped smoked bacon
a good splodge of fresh sage
Instructions:
Brown the onions in butter & olive oil in a casserole dish, and remove once nicely browned. Fry the bacon in the pan until just verging on crispy, and remove also. Then, in go the sausages. Brown them off, and replace the onions, bacon, add the prunes and the stout. Reduce to about a third, then add the tomato. Slow cook for about an hour, adding the sage in the last 20 minutes.
