Caramelized Garlic
Ingredients:
30 cloves garlic (whole and peeled)
1 bottle (12 oz.) Alaskan Pale
1 Tablespoon butter
2 Tablespoons vegetable broth
2 teaspoons brown sugar
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.In a medium saucepan over medium heat, bring garlic and Alaskan Pale to a boil. Simmer, covered until the garlic is tender, about 10 – 12 minutes. Remove and drain. In an 8 or 9 inch baking dish, arrange garlic in a single layer.Meanwhile, cook sugar in a medium skillet over medium heat, stirring often. The sugar will melt and start to thicken. Add butter and broth and bring to boil. Pour sauce over garlic cloves. Bake 15 – 25 minutes or until the sauce is thick. Remove from oven and cover with foil and allow to stand for 5 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature with crusty French bread or toast corners.
