Big Indian Beer Cake
Ingredients:
2 sticks butter or margarine
1 cup Big Indian Porter
3/4 cup Dutch-processs cocoa
3 eggs
1/2 cup sour cream
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt Procedure:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease 2 8-inch cake pans or 1 13x9 inch pan. Dust lightly with cocoa. Melt butter or margarine in saucepan, stir in cocoa and then the beer. Blend dry ingredients together and beat into beer/cocoa mizture for 1 minute. Add eggs and sour cream and beat for 2 minutes at high speed. Pour into pans, bake 25-30 minutes or till a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on a rack for 10 minutes and remove from pan. Serve as is or top with whipped cream or favorite frosting. Enjoy!
