Alaskan Stout Steamed Clams
Ingredients:
¼ cup carrots, grated
¼ cup onion, chopped
1 stick butter
6 oz. Alaskan Stout
1 cup water
2 lbs. Steamer clams
Instructions:
In a covered saucepan, melt butter then simmer carrots and onions on low heat for 10 minutes. Add Alaskan Stout and water and simmer 10 minutes more. Add clams and cook for 3 minutes. Turn heat to medium for 2 minutes. Remove clams immediately and serve.Note: Do NOT serve clams that have not opened during the cooking process.
