Alaskan Smoked Porter Banana Bread
Ingredients:
2.5 cups sifted flour (plain)
2 Teaspoons baking powder
¼ Teaspoon baking soda
¾ teaspoon salt
½ Cup shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 Teaspoon vanilla
1 cup mashed ripe bananas
2 Tablespoons milk
½ cup Alaskan Smoked Porter
Instructions:
Mix and sift flower, baking powder, soda and salt.Beat shortening until creamyAdd sugar gradually and continue beating until light and fluffy.Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.Add vanilla and Alaskan Smoked Porter, mix well.Add flour mixture alternately with milk and bananas, a little at a time, beating after each addition until smooth.Turn into well greased loaf pan.Bake at 325 degrees Fahrenheit for 1 hour 10 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.Serve with Smoked Porter Butter.Mix ½ cup butter and 2 Tablespoons Alaskan Smoked Porter until creamy and smooth.
